I AM A TRAUMA-INFORMED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST + I WANT TO HELP YOU FEEL BETTER.
I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University and I am the founder of WellKind Mental Health. As an EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Therapist, I offer a trauma-informed approach to avoid retraumatization. Often, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and other symptoms occur as a result of trauma. I believe that we should resolve the cause of your symptoms in therapy (which is often trauma) rather than simply using coping skills to reduce the symptoms.

My specialties include treating trauma, grief, anxiety, and depression using eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) in combination with talk therapy. As a Safe Zone Therapist, I’m trained in providing safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces for people of any gender, sexuality, race, culture, and belief system.

Effective therapy is deeply personal, and I have found that utilizing a relational approach is the best way to connect with my clients. Trauma therapy, including EMDR, can be extremely difficult, so safety and trust are a vital part of the therapeutic process.

SOME THINGS I LOVE...
My favorite part of therapy is collaborating with my clients to determine their treatment goals & partnering with them to help achieve those goals. One of my foundational beliefs in therapy is that you are the expert of your own life, and you have everything you need already inside of you. My job is to help you bring out your strengths to heal from within.
If I’m not doing therapy, I’m probably reading a book with my Chihuahuas on my lap. I love doing Pilates and yoga, sitting in the sunshine, watching tv shows, drinking iced tea, and traveling the world with my husband.
